All events will be held at the Tri County Fairgrounds unless otherwise noted.

 
FRIDAY, APRIL 28, 2017


9 AM     Registration for:Golf Tournament sponsored by PHS Football Team
              Valley View Golf Course- Rt. 220 between Petersburg and Moorefield. 
              1st Annual Coach Scott Jones Golf Scramble (In honor of our assistant coach that   passed away earlier this season).
             The Petersburg High School football team will be sponsoring a golf scramble on Saturday April 29th at 9am, in conjunction with Spring Mountain Festival. If any local businesses would like to sponsor a hole, they are $100 each. Registration forms will be available soon. If you would like to register your team of 4 or sponsor a hole, please contact Coach Kevin Board at 304-483-3292. Registration is $50 per person ($200 per team), which includes your round of golf, meal, and beverages. Cash prizes available to top 3 teams, as well as several contests and 50/50 that day.  All proceeds from this tournament go to the PHS Viking Football Program!  Awards will be given at the Spring Mountain Festival Fairgrounds around 4:30.

              REGISTRATION BEGINS FOR 4th  ANNUAL CORN HOLE TOURNAMENT-Sponsored by SHEETZ and L&W Enterprise

Corn Hole Tournament will start on Saturday, April 29th at 11am (registration at 10:30am).  Cash prizes given for winning team!  ALL entries to receive a FREE MTO coupon from Sheetz!

4 PM- 8 PM     SUMMER ART PROGRAM/ Mini Kiddie Carnival
           Children can stop by and enjoy a simple art activity while they learn about the summer classes being offered by the           Summer Art Program.  They will be located in the basement of the 4-H building along with the “Mini Kiddie Carnival” sponsored by the PHS Band Boosters     (will be closed during parade)

 
6PM- 8PM     Open Mike Night!
            Do you have a talent to show off?  Well, we want to see it! 
We are having Open Mike Night to give all our locals a chance to show off their talent.  From singing, dancing to standup comedy or any other talent- as long as it’s clean, family fun you are welcome to register! (To register:  call the Chamber Office at 304-257-2722 or the CVB Office at 304-257-9266.  It’s FREE to register but spots are limited so hurry and register today! (on small stage in Grand Stands area)

 

 8:30 PM     Movie Night:  Sponsored by  Sheetz , Tri County Honda and Love Christian Assembley and Digital Illusion Rentals 
ROGUE ONE- A Star Wars Story -Dress up in your favorite Star Wars gear and receive a special gift from Sheetz and be prepared for a Special Appearance! Popcorn and drinks available for purchase - what better way to spend a Friday night!

 8 AM     FAIRGROUNDS OPEN FOR VENDORS


               FLEA MARKET OPENS
               Inside the 4-H building and large grass field between PHS Elem and Fairgrounds                                   

9 AM     5K COLOR RUN/ 5K WALK –by PHS National Honor Society:  Sponsored by South Side Depot
              Registration is at Tri County Fairgrounds beginning at 8:30am.  Race/walk begins at 9:00 am. Fee for each runner is $25.   First place prize of $50 and prize package/ second runner in- prize package.  Prize given for three categories: 20 years and under, 21-35 years and 36 and older.  For additional information call the chamber office 304-257-2722. 9 AM-3 PM     TANNERY HOUSE MUSEUM
                The beautiful “Tannery House” Museum will have a special opening:
                This house is one of the original company houses built by the Union Tannery in Petersburg.  It was part of a row of 10 houses, all painted yellow. In 2007, the house was moved to its present location and has been lovingly restored by the Grant County Historical Society, Inc, and the Tannery Worker’s Association. Inside the furnishings are typical of the time period when the house was used by working families.
                 Directions: 115 Virginia Ave. on the lot back of the Old Grant County Court House.

10 AM     OPENING CEREMONIES
             Special thanks to the VFW Post 6454, Civil Air Patrol, and the PHS Marching Band and PHS Chorus for participating in the opening ceremonies.

            MISS SPRING MOUNTAIN FESTIVAL QUEEN AND  WINNERS WILL BE     INTRODUCED

            Winners of 5K Color Run announced and prizes given if race is finished.

11 AM     Kent Family Circus:  The Kent Family Magic Circus is a mixture of circus, theater, and vaudeville, with a sprinkle of side-show.  All put on by the Kents, a family of nine that travel and perform all over the United States.
(Small arena under pavilion)

 

3 PM      PARADE  (Line up to start at 2PM)
             Starts on Water St. at the stop light and continues down Virginia Ave. to Pierpont St. and right on Central Ave to continue to the fairgrounds.  In the event of rain (downpour) the parade will be cancelled and not be rescheduled.  Please check our facebook page at Grant County Chamber of Commerce for parade cancellation.

6 PM- 7:30PM     The Road Dawgs
          The Road Dawgs will be performing an awesome show filled with some of your favorite rock by Skynyrd, ZZ Top and even some AC/DC.

             From sea to shining sea, this West Virginia native has traveled all over the United States.  Josh, on his first national tour, sang in 47 of our 50 great states sharing the talent that God has blessed him with.  Located in small arena under pavilion.

                             
12 NOON     ANTIQUE CAR, TRUCK, TRACTOR AND ENGINE SHOW

NOON – 2 PM     MOTORCYCLE SHOW
            Located inside the fairgrounds:  Plaques for the first 25 bikes.

           Sit back and relax while enjoying members from Rig Assembly! 
           Located in the small arena under pavilion.
 

2 PM     SPRING MOUNTAIN APRIL FOOLS RACE
          The resurrection of Whitewater weekends April Fools Race.  Enter your “anything that floats” that is not a boat for the race or watch from the banks of the Potomac at the City Park.  Sure to be a blast of fun.  Entering at or near the Petersburg City Park.  Contact Icky Hyre at 304-257-5900 for information and complete rules.

 
3:30 PM     MOTORCYCLE SHOW AWARDS TO BE PRESENTED                            
           On the stage following:
           Find the Golden Trout Awards to be presented on stage after the Motorcycle awards!
