Rattlesnake Territory
Timber Rattlesnakes range over most of the eastern United States.
More people die each year from bee stings than from snake bites.

Bald Eagle
The Balk Eagle was not given that name because it really is bald. The name actually comes from the Old English or Welsh word, "balde" meaning white.
Bald Eagle sightings along the South Branch are becoming increasingly common.

Petersburg Wave
A rising column of air generated by strong west winds plunging over the Allegheny Front and deflected upward by ridges to the east creates the Petersburg Wave.
Each year, many glider pilots set altitude records up to 23,000 feet riding the Petersburg Wave.
